Missing and Duplicate Tax Slips on CRA Website

Starting in January 2025, the CRA implemented a new validation process for organizations that submit information returns, such as financial institutions and employers, to ensure the data they provide is accurate. Although this change enhances data quality, some issuers have faced challenges in uploading tax slips, causing certain slips to not appear in My Account, Represent a Client, or the Auto-fill my return service as early as in past years.
It is important to note that the challenges issuers face are separate from their responsibility to distribute slips to recipients by the filing deadline. Consequently, we anticipate that most taxpayers have already received the necessary slips to complete their tax returns. If a client’s tax slip does not appear in Represent a Client or when using Auto-fill my return, we suggest using the slips provided by their issuer, such as their financial institution or employer.
The CRA is actively collaborating with issuers to resolve any remaining issues and ensure tax slips are made available as soon as possible.
